Garrison Fencing

Garrison Style fencing has been manufactured and installed by IWF Fencing for many years. These fences are usually made between 1.8m and 2.4m in height with sharpened tops for additional security, but can also be manufactured at any height as a residential fence, but without the sharpened tops.

Vertical bars are made from 25mm x 25mm RHS, rails from 40mm x 40mm and posts from 65mm x 65mm or 75mm x 75mm, Wall thicknesses can vary according to the customers requirements. Vertical bars are welded to the outside of the rails to avoid rust forming on the inside of the rails. Posts should be imbedded in a minimum concrete footing of 800mm in depth and 300mm in diameter. High zinc content in steel is essential for longevity of this product which is very important given the initial cost of these fences as is additional treatment for powdercoating on jobs near to the ocean.

These types of fence are becoming more popular today as security has become more of an issue. With a Garrison style fence you will get both security and an attractive fence. Matching sliding and swing gates, either automatic or manually operated are available to compliment the fence.

We now also offer a new style of similar fencing, which has a 50mm x 50mm x 3mm top and bottom angle iron with punched holes into which are inserted the normal sharply cropped verticals. The main advantage with this attractive style is the fact that rust will not be a problem as it possibly could be with face welded verticals.
